My professional media career spans over 17 years, across television, advertising and digital. I am a Toronto native who started off in television working for Canada’s number one nightly entertainment show, etalk. I then ventured off to Dubai, UAE where I spent nearly a decade working for internationally known networks and tech companies such as Much Music ArabYeah!, Showtime Arabia and Yahoo! It was in the metropolis city of Dubai, that I wanted to take creative and entrepreneurial control, so in 2014, I co-founded Run Riot Media, a boutique production house. We were fortunate to get the ground up and running fast and create all types of content for major networks such as MBC, Dubai TV, and Platinum Records to name a few. A year later, we launched a passion project on YouTube, She Connects TV, a lifestyle video online guide for women on the go.
In 2016, I moved to New York City to support my husband’s dream of working for one of the world’s best restaurants. It was in New York that I was fortunate to have teamed with up Facebook New York's Creative Shop, an in-house agency producing innovative advertising campaigns.
Then moved to London, UK in the summer of 2017 continued freelance work for Facebook London and in parallel set up a LTD company, She is Muna, to actively work as a freelance creative. I have collaborated with a variety of international celebrity clientele, world class hospitality and leading brands. I also had the opportunity to travel and work closely with my clients in Hong Kong, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Miami on retainers and/or on project basis. Some clients included were Donnie Yen, LPM Restaurant & Bar, Wada Network, and Telecoming Madrid in partnership with Africa’s MTN.
In February 2020, I moved to Los Angeles, a month before the pandemic and was halfway through a pregnancy. This is where I call home now and look forward to growing my family and personal brand here! Thank you for coming along for the journey.
